No I wouldn't Deb.......Why the anger?

The sky is bluer here because I'm here. I am the sky! I am the sun! I am the puffy white clouds!

Chip and pin? Whatever that is. I just use Amex

Is that the past tense of Amish?

Ok, that's funny...

LOVE the Amish.

I am tripping off my ass on peyote?

Of course the grass is greener here now - my dog is pissing on it. American pee - filled with Freedom.
lol

But how are the other dogs getting along with a dog that barks with an American accent?

Andrew :)

Seems to be doing fine - even if everyone in Britain has a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. My dog's masculinity is always questioned too. It usually goes like this -

Person Awww what's her name?
Me Actually it's a he, and his name is Weston.
Person Awww what a cute puppy girl!
Me Erm, he's actually fully grown. He's over a year old.
Person What breed is she?
Me He's a...a Cock-a-Poo.
Person Good job I'm wearing a condom!
Mix as many styles as possible - the look you should be going for is an Eighties homeless prostitute Eskimo. Never wear clothes that match. EVER.

And don't forget the 9 year olds in 6 inch stilletoes! What are the parents thinking??

Can't stop laughing...

The UK is beginning to sound like a scary place to me. I really need to stop reading the BBC news. shock

Evening viewers. Well there's one thing that is really wonderful here and it's the sky. Everyday it's so different, really amazing. It makes such a contrast after years of bog standard never changing blue sky and sunshine. However it does help that the backdrop is the gorgeous Suffolk countryside.

But I will admit to the yob types and the swearing that goes on. But i just say to myself, if this was America it would be persons with thier pants halfway down thier bums or druggies and guns. it's just that we are more packed in here so the crappo types are more visible.

Well in all honesty the sky isn't blue here all the time, it's just nice when it is. The weather isn't unlike back there except it just doesn't rain as much.

Plus, life is safer....

;)

For those of you thinking yobs here are any better, you need a reality check(not being snobby here  ) and hang out more around malls and movie theaters. I saw a girl, while dropping mine at the movie, she was probably 12/13 and her potty mouth together with her "cool" little friends was just a reminder that teens are the same everywhere you go. Vandalism occurs around my neighborhood and this is supposed to be a nice area, Lansdowne VA. I don't think the UK is any worse than here to be honest with you, last month alone, 3 young people died in a murder-suicide in front of Safeway in Sterling. I much rather be away from the "pants halfway down their bums" type and I agree with you Lizzie, yobs are more visible there due to space.

I am counting down, next 2 years I will be living somewhere in Lewes, Lindfield, Haywards Heath.

Where we live there's very little vandalism/graffiti and there's only one mall (that closes early). We don't have any "multiplex" cinemas down here (one cinema) in Capitola and you *rarely* see kids just "hanging around on street corners". In fact, even driving through some of the less savoury areas of say, Salinas bothers me less than when I went through a similar sort of area/council estate back in Bristol. It kinda reminded me visually of a bomb site.

As for guns, they don't bother me here (they don't really bother me at all tbh - I'd never own one preferring a nice 90lb German Shepherd for security of need be), and they bother me less here than they would in the UK where handguns are illegal anyways.

The chances of actually walking into yoofs just making trouble is pretty slim here (and we pretty much walk everywhere, to the shops, grocery stores what have you).

Now, that said, I will never ever stay in South Boston in NC ever ever again.

Andrew )
And it's always nice to know that buses in Bristol have DNA kits on them. For some reason....

....hopefully not for the reasons that the cast of CSI have DNA kits either.
