Well, we're on the move again pretty soon. New Hampshire this time, we were trying to get to Seattle but it didn't work out. Anybody out that way in NH? We're going to be living in a place called Lebanon. I'm sure at some point in our travels we'll actually I hope we'll manage to make it to some kind of social pint drinking type of deal..
At some point we're gonna stop travelling too cos its pretty tough going sometimes, but for now i'm just enjoying the scenery and taking lots of photo's.
Off to Blighty next week and a month in skanky Lowestoft to see my family.. ahh big pints and everything shut at 530pm grin
I'll send a post card roll
What you are leaving the warm climate of MN?
)
Good luck with the move.
Traitor! Leaving Minnesota, and just before the snow falls! )

Why do you call it skanky Lowestoft? I've never been there but have a friend who lived there for a few years and loved it.

Because its skanky. Full of Chavs, Gary Boys, Smack, corrupt local government and dog shit. There are no public facilities, no jobs, education failed there and nobody gives a toss anymore. Its hard to think of your home town like that but I left with no regrets.
Its an armpit.

As for Minneapolis, it was ok. Not much atmosphere though. Lots of Malls, some lakes, food on sticks. Great architecture though! spent this morning cycling around taking pictures (Bloody good cycleways here!). Was quite looking forward to the winter but duty calls for Mrs Servalan, and I hear they get snow in NH, so thats not so bad. I don't deal well with temperatures above 65F so should be ok for the winter.

Hey we should have a get together before you leave, there are only a handful of us here in MN to start with!
Brits anyone?

Damn, Servalan. Tell us how you really feel...

I lived in NH for 12 years before moving over here to Maine.
I was on the other side of NH to Lebanon mind you.
I have never been to Lebanon but from what I do know it's in the heart of some beautiful country.
What takes you there Dartmouth Hitchcock medical center?
If you like to ski/snowboard your in the right place in winter.
Nascar is also close by in Loudon, and bike week in Laconia in the summer.
Mount Washington, windiest place in the US is worth a ride.
Other places worth a visit, Vermont, North Conway for scenery old time town steam trains and factory outlet stores, Lake Winepesaukee.

Don't be fooled by the no sales and income tax, they will get your money one way or another.

Hmmmm not sure what my friend loved about it then! She never mentioned all that! Ofcourse I never mention these things about Barnsley either. Seems the dog crap issue must be all over in England! My husband and I were going for a walk yesterday and there was canadian goose crap all over the side-walk. I said to him "I feel like we are in Barnsley trying to dodge all the dog poo!".

Good luck anyway!
:)
