When we moved here, I replaced my TV slobbing with internet slobbing. I need my internet, so we pay $60 pcm for broadband cable.

Are you as bad as me? Never though I'd see the day when I'd shell out that much money for something so intangible. shock
As hubby needs internet to work from home they pick up the bill off $47 for broadband.
Now TV Cable . . . . .
monster, you don't say if you have cable TV. Mine is a combination price, it would be more if I didn't buy cable TV.
$35 for a one year commitment to Verizon DSL. 3mbps up, 768kbps down. Would never pay that much for broadband. $40 is my limit.

And my phone bill is about $30 thanks to Vonage.
yup cable. It's a bundle thingy. It costs more to have the internet alone than the two together. Like that's going to make me turn on the TV and watch the ads roll
Internet
Cable connection (warner ) and its $27.11 month with tax for two computers

Tv
Dont have or want cable tv have had directv for 9 years and am very happy with it .

Telephone

If you get charged for running more than one computer, it's time to get a router. Money for old rope if they are renting you an extra IP address.

Mine is about $46 a month but they did just upgrade free for three months to the tier above standard so it's running at 8Mbps/768kbps. I quite like the faster speed and the upload doubling is noticable when working on websites but not sure if I will commit to it for an extra $10 a month. Maybe - I write off internet access at home anyway as I basically only use it for my little ebay business so it might be worthwhile.

we do have a router my wifes brother set it up for us 9nfact warner told us tehy would ahve to charge more if we wanted hten to do it and suggested we get a router ,

Costs me nothing for internet or tv.

Now working in tech support for a major cable company and this is one of the perks.

I pay less than $8 a month and that's just for the box rental.
I have everything supplied by comcast, who are complete bastards but I don't have any other option. My total bill is $129, which includes, HBO, DVR , HD and 6MB hi speed internet. The internet portion = $47.25.
We bundled with AT&T, we have a high speed connection, cheap long distance to UK, cell phones, and we had to take caller ID, which is useless as most calls are blocked and without my reading glasses I can't read the screen anyway, but the whole shabang comes in at just short of a $100 a month.

That's actually not bad on the scale of things - I only have basic digital and internet and it comes in around $97 in total.

I call up every 6 months to cancel the whole lot and they keep giving me discounts, you think they would catch on.

Buggers mostly call my bluff nowadays but I used to do that too. I might have the last laugh though and switch to DirecTV shortly.

If you need a "referrer" for DirecTV let me know ;o)

I threatened to switch to Dish Network last Christmas when they called me on Christmas Eve with me elbow-deep in mince pies to bug me about a payment I made online almost 48 hours earlier.

Two days later I had a TiVo ;o) Merry Christmas!
