I pay $107, don't know what the internet portion is, it was $47 a year ago but a year in internet bills is like a lifetime.

Have HBO but theres a bigger and better package out there. Or so they tell me.

I also have Concast.

Is that a Freudian typo or did you mean that? 8)

Probably deliberate I would think - I remember people where I live calling them ConCrash when the connection was going out on an almost daily basis.
Telco workers I know have some other names like that from a B2B viewpoint.

AT&T Another Trouble Ticket

I'll have to dig up the rest...
We have cable internet but DirectTV.

We tried DirectTV with Verizon DSL but felt it wasn't fast enough. So we scaled back our telephone service (eventually got Vonage) and signed up for cable internet.

The worst thing about it is that the cable company (or blood sucking vultures as I call them) constantly call and try to get us signed up for their whole nasty package of tv+phone+internet.

H says the internet costs $50 a month and the DirectTV costs $65.
Comcast continue to send us mailings even though I called three times to remove us from their list.

DSL not fast enough? You must be too far from the exchange or they don't have the faster service in your area.

How's Vonage working for you on cable? I'd prefer the stability of a DSL connection any day.
Mine is a cable bundle for $130 a month. Internet/1cablebox/1 HD box/digital cable tier. No movie channels.
I use Vonage and cut my land phone down to the minimum, works great for me at $30 a month I call unlimited UK and Spain for free.

It's great. I had one day last week where I called people and they couldn't hear me, but that's the worst in months of service.

Yeah your upload speed will be a factor here. If you only have 128 or 256, you may have to tweak the bandwidth the phone adapter allots to your voice calls. 90kbps is normal, if you are having problems try knocking that down a little to create a more reliable (but lesser quality) connection.
I have cable, phone, internet (openband) and community amenities all for $300 per month. This includes trash, snow, pool, etc.. I was paying 290 before without all the stuff that I use with the kids, so I think this is cheap in relation to what I had before.

We pay about $125 for internet, phone and HD Digital Cable and DVR. Not bad really. As for international calls, we use our Yahoo phone, costs 1 cent/min to call England, cant beat that really!!
Numbers have changed since we moved.

$12 for a basic local phone service from AT&T
$35 for a 6mb/608kb DSL service from AT&T
$25+5 for Vonage + the UK virtual number

We could have just got DSL for... the same price as both together. Lame, but oh well we can connect the fax machine to something now (VoIP and Fax do not mix well).

So we pay $77 a month for

Unlimited calling within North America and five European countries
A decent broadband connection
An additional phone line for a fax service

Not bad at all. Cable wants $60+ just for internet sometimes.
$29.99/month DSL 6MB down and 1.5MB up - grandfathered in from when I was a test for dsl rollout...

We have minimum cable as we hardly watch tv.

Sweet deal McZ.

I just upgraded recently to 8 mb down, 768 up but it's almost double what you pay. The down is great but wish the up was a bit better. Was on a "free for three months" deal but kept it as it's a write off anyway.
