Old hands will know that when we discuss children's behaviour on Britnet it's not long before someone suggests duct tape as a solution.

I love it. I'm a particular fan of the idea of flesh-coloured duct tape.

I found the perfect t-shirt, when I stopped laughing I had to buy it (with the intention of wearing it), even though I never, ever wear anything that isn't plain black.

It says

Silence is golden
Duct tape is silver

and has a smiley with two eyes and a silver strip instead of a gob.

It was so good, I had to find someone else to buy it for, too.

I thought it was hysterical. So do other parents and all the teachers, apparently. But they don't like to admit it! So many people waited until they had me alone to tell me how funny the t-shirt was, that it could only be worn by a parent known to have a sense of humour, where did I get it, and how glad they were I wasn't a teacher wearing it/how they wish they could get away with wearing it to teach.

1) Huh?
2) Would you really advertise it on a t-shirt if you actually duct-taped your kids?
3) Huh?
4) The t-shirt has no reference to children. Should I worry about the people who assume it does? ;)
5) Can you imagine it being worn by someone without a sense of humour?
6) weird. beam me up, Scotty.
7) I'm gonna wear it 'til it falls apart lol
It's so ggod, I got some one year as a birthday present
That's funny - we actually bought that T-shirt at the weekend my 14 year old son chose it for himself) and he wore it to school yesterday! His teachers and soccer coach loved it grin

He's a big fan of duct tape and in younger years was known to spend his allowance on it and create weird and wonderful duct tape sculptures roll
I've seen people duct taped to the wall, but what do you mean "duct taping children"? I never heard of it.

Duct tape is one of the products "advertised" on Prairie Home Companion.
When I hear a kid screaming, or otherwise carrying on in the local mall I call it a duct tape moment. Duct tape can help in a lot of "different situations".
My wife's grandfather's got a t-shirt with 'When the going get's tough, the tough gets duct tape........'
He probably did duct tape his kids at some time wink
