One thing I have noticed on this board and around english folks in general,

We take a serious debate, we discuss it and by the end of it, turn it into some kind of joke and have some fun with the topic. We soon start making jokes and fun of the worse possible things.

I do think other non english people have a hard time understanding this type of humour and at worse think we are being disrespectable.

I personaly love sick jokes ive always enjoyed offbeat humor . but you must know anyway a lot of stuff posted here is tongue in cheek

When I'm with other foreign wives here I'm always putting my foot in it over comments that other Brits (and Aussies and Kiwi's) realise are light hearted. I'm not very popular with the US ones as they think I'm callous, disrespectful, areligious (a biggie) and immature. Not that I care what they think.

How rude. People are giving their opinions, just 'cos you don't agree doesn't mean it's tripe.
