De Clutter. Trying to sell this place and have been told "you need to de clutter", ummmmmm so where do I stick "MY CLUTTER". I have no other place to stick it other than rent storage lol
thats what I had to do. I moved from a big house in Utah to a small condo in CA. I rented a storage unit in UT for $65 a month, as against $300 per month here, so half my belongings are in UT, where I expect them to stay.
A storage unit is the only answer if you don't have friends or family with free space, and you aren't willing to part with it.
when we were house hunting the one thing I noticed was how Americans don't like homes for sale to look like someone actually lives there but the home to be like a show house.

Whereas in the UK people like to see homes lived in (not untidy or dirty, just lived in). That way they get a true feeling of how much space is available in the house.

Storage unit is the only way to go )
Do you really need all this stuff? Sell it, give it away life is so much better with less stuff.

I agree. It makes it so much easier to clean/move house.

I throw stuff away or sell it every year or so and just keep what I really need.

Yea still this side of things unless I can get the wife to move else where. would love to move nearer the coast. We will see, but have to take into acount the kids etc

Absolutely. Having said that, there is a bunch of junk in my basement.

Don't you lot have basements down there?
