Thank you.
Yes, Saturday was almost like survival training. I was humping around a 300mm and a 600mm lens as well as 3 cameras and a body belt with gear. Roughly 50lb's or so. Plus I had 3 liter bottles of water on my person but I was fine.
A colleague of mine actually started getting heatstroke and after arguing with him that dying wasn't going to do his photography business any good I convinced him to get into a porta potty and out of the sun (the top of the corkscrew isn't know for it's shadiness...) and then I had him taken down to the media center so he could cool down.
I walked funnily enough. I felt good, albeit tired and had a "heat hangover" on Monday but all in all I had a blast. I was well covered up, sweat couldn't evaporate easily and my feet were good too.
Andrew :)
Can we have more of the same for every race please, if you know what I mean? mrgreen

Of course!!
Thanks everyone - yes, it was very very hot. In fact it was declared a Major Catastrophe Area by the Fire Dept due to the number of heatstroke victims..
