Hi again,

Just wondering about this tourist visa again. I thought you had to go for an interview to the American Embassy in London to get this visa. Yet it sounds as if you only have to fill forms in and mail them...is that correct? Also I am retired but with a reasonable income.

Aas I am gay but with a partner in the States I wondered if there is any visa which may cover that situation? I know I am naive, buth thought I would ask anyway!!!

Can't answer you question about other visas but for the B2 I never interviewed. Like I said in the other thread, I just posted off the forms and it appeared in the mail! Maybe it has changed since I got mine.. or maybe they randomly interview? I dunno.

I obtained a B2 visa from the American embassy via mail. They want proof of eprmanent connections in the UK, utility bills, employment history and a loads besides. I got one because I thought I would be travelling frequently between US and UK, didn't realize I would be captured. I am still waiting for my ransom to be paid !!
