Hi,

thanks for recent reply to the visa waiver program question. Guess it is just down to the officer on the day.
I have another question then concerning the B2 Visa. If I apply for the B2 tourist visa what sort of questions should I expect. I presume ones regarding my address in England and also one concerning bank statements presumably to show I have enough to support me for six months in the States. Do they do credit checks or any other stuff or is it purely to provide evidence that I am going to return? In fact how do I prove that?
Evidence of a job and mortgage to return to.
For me it was very simple.

Copy of electric and water bill. (with my name on them of course).

Copy of mortage statment, (with my name on).

That was it. No proof of job (good thing as I did not have one at the time!), no bank statements, no credit checks, no question.. nothin'!

Filled in the form, sent it off with my passport and the three copies of bills... 3 weeks later - voila! B2.

(which actually turned out to be a waste of time for me.. but anyhoo.)
Oh I should add, this was in 2001(??), not recently.
