Hello everyone.
The tea here, proper black tea (kocha), is made from the powdery residue swept up from the factory floor. Well, it tastes like it does.
lol love your description of the tea.

Welcome to this great place.

So, why Japan? Do you get to go home regularly? Do you end up importing your shoes?
My husband is Japanese. I go home as much as I can, two or three times a year.
I buy clothes and shoes when I'm home, but is is irritating when I need something and I can't just go out and buy it. Oh, and I also stock up on tea.
The best friend of my first born daughter, went to Japan twice as an exchange student. Her hair was very blonde and wavy, so she was very conspicuous amongst her school mates there. I have seen photos of them in their light blue school uniforms.
She loved her time there and still refers to her surrogate mother as "Mother". I think that she didn't drink tea in those days thoughgrin
