I've been watching Coogs new show ,Saxondale, on Youtube these last couple of weeks - its kinda funny. He's managing to move away from the Alan Partridge thing, which tends to overshadow everything he does, but still sticking with oddball characters. Its very drole stuff and is a million miles away from the formula twat that passes for comedy here.
Which brings me to my second point of interest, Coogans production company just made a deal with US TV, thereby selling them the rights to remake several of his companies shows over here - one of which being The Mighty Boosh, a most demented show that i've been catching up with lately too.
Sorry can't find the link to the story.. its on the BBC news site somewhere..oh well.
I recognize his talent but absolutely cannot stand the man. Hope he does well.
Who the f**k is steve coogan ???
Some of the characters on "Coogan's Run" were decent - I always think of "Gareth Cheeseman" when some computer software or hardware salesman descends upon us.

Alan Partridge was ok at first and then got quite stale.

Actually, I think Steve Coogan was at his best playing "the bloke from Go West" on "The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer".......
I always remember him playing Paul Calf, my apologies if I spelt that wrong.

The smoking Man City supporter.
