I was most chuffed to discover PBS in Minneapolis is showing the first series of The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin. I'd looked for it on Netflix, but like so much, it wasn't on there. Its not even available on Amazon. I used to have the bodger together Omnibus video that missed out alot of detail from the show.
Whats nice is that, despite the canned laughter, this is very dark comedy. US tv just doesn't do it for me i'm afraid.
Perrin does look a bity dated now, but there's so much going for it with all the superb characters and bizzare storyline. After i read the novel a few years ago its hard to get used to Rossiters mannerisms, but overall its great to see this britcom classic instead of endless reruns of Are you being served or keeping up appearances.

(When we were in Baltimore the local PBS station used to show Pertwee era Dr Who at midnight on saturdays)
agreed, US TV is complete and utter bilge, made specifically for Americans..and not many smart ones at that.
"I didn't get where I am today..."

I think that's right!
