And why?
I just had an old ER on the TV and they are celebrating Christmas. It is snowing and they are making snow angels outside. The sun is shining here and it is hot outside. And while I love the summer and look forward to the warm weather and being outside swimming, seeing all the flowers and bushes blooming etc., I couldn't help thinking was a magical time of year Christmas is.
So what is your favorite time of year and why? I chose Christmas time, especially here because of the chance of snow but also because of the incorporation of many different holidays together and it all builds up to the New Year )
I think springtime, just about when it starts getting warm around Easter time.
I also like the autumn, when there starts to be a noticable nip in the air. I guess it reminds me of being a kid and knowing that Halloween and Guy Fawkes were coming.
I like Christmas and the snow, I just can't stand cold though...
Spring and Autumn.
Winter is too cold, too long and, around here, too damn inconvenient (the novelty of driving in snow has long worn off).
Summer here is sticky, humid adn bug infested. It is really difficult to get outside and to enjoy the lack of snow.
Spring is pleasant but too short (it appears to last about 24 hours).
Autumn in New England is, as you may have heard, rather spectacular. The leaves are colourful, the bugs are in remission and the temperature is mild.
whenever I get to jump on a plane and go home.
All year actually - especially since I have started travelling more, it's kinda fun to see how different parts of this country looks so cool at different times, then head off to Oz only to find the seasons reversed for the time of year!
In fact, I'd really have to say anytime the sun is out and it's not raining...

Its changed .
we dont get winter here its just hot and hotter in the summer , the fall is my favourite little breeze in the air and i can work in my yard .
I love the Autumn here in California. Especially Halloween. We live near the quaintest little town. Its like a movie set for trick o treaters and my kids love it! grin
It depends where I am. Winter = Caribbean; Spring = Southern Italy; Autumn = England; Summer = Vancouver, Canada.
Or, anywhere, any time, as long as it isn’t in the US.
I absolutely love Christmas too, especially if it's a white Christmas. However, I don't like cold weather, so once Christmas Day is over the snow can disappear as far as I'm concerned. I love Spring too - the weather is just perfect and I love seeing everything in the garden beginning to come to life again. Summer here is just way too hot. sad
All year round for me too....I really can't pick one, I like all seasons for different reasons.
no, seriously, I love Christmas. Its probably nostalgia, but all my favourite memories are of my family at Christmas. I will always try and wangle a trip to the UK at xmas, its a bit tough for the missus though as she obviously prefers xmas here. Oh well, you can't have everything.

But it's impossible to find a room unless you booked months and months ahead. I used to have to go to Seabrook Nuke at a days notice, so, in the Autumn, I would commute. get a plane out of Philly at 7:00AM to Boston, hertz, drive like hell, go see the problem, hold meetings, drive like hell to Boston hoping the police don't catch me, flight home, get home too late for dinner, past it anyway.
I'm sure that Autumn in New England is beautiful, but I didn't have time to look. The foliage is pretty spectacular here, anyway.
Christmas is my favourite time for family and friends and getting together.
For the weather it has to be fall,as has been said, the bugs aren't bad, the humidity is gone the scenery is georgous. I love to go the fairs too in Sept & Oct. Last year was the pits as it was 90 F in the shade, much more enjoyable in the cool weather to wanderthe fair.
Christmas but only if its not here. Has to be in UK with family or I'd rather not bother at all.
I like summers here though almost as much. It can get unbearably hot but fortunately, only for a couple of days at a time and then it cools off.
The best time is now, when college is out and I pretty much have the run of the place, along with the other 12 month staff. Lots of parking, no having to dodge the crowds when classes get out and glorious sunshine so you can wear shorts without getting frostbite.
It starts to come apart a bit with summer school starting up shortly but that ends in August and there's another 3 weeks before the students come back - lovely!
Usually somewhere between early December and late March is when I like it here. Although some years it seems the heat and humidity never leave. The evenings in March and April are great for walks and bike rides.
This time of the year I feel like I am hibernating from the heat roll
