All i can say is im glad we didnt have to play them .

we are playing the weaker of the two advancing teams ,there again ecuador are saying the same thing .

germany 2 sweden 0

lol
Screw the Germans. Remember 5-1 in Munich.
Early on, I thought the ref should be wearing a German shirt. later it looked as though he was just inconsistant, although I think he had it in for Lucic the first card was worth a whistle but no card, the second wasn't even worth a whistle, he just did what the germans do all the time. And the ref laughed in the Lucic's face as he showed the red card, was he trying to provoke him?

The Germans looked awfully good but they were playing against 10 men for most of the game. The swedes held back and gave them plenty of room to set up.

I nearly threw my cup at the screen when I heard Marcelo Balboa doing colour. I have built a hate for him, he is so opinionated. Like Dubaya, he is always sure and often wrong.

Living in Canada, 14% sales tax...

Not having to listen to American announcer pratts, priceless...

The germans did dominate large parts of the game, but for 14 minutes of madness in the swedish penalty box they may have had a chance. Still, the swedes did get a penalty even if Larsson decided to boot it into orbit!! roll
Not a great game. The Argentina-Mexico one on the other hand was pretty good.

I agree.
The ref let them play instead of handing out more cards than a Vegas dealer.

One of the problems that has came up and has been frequently addressed by beckenbuer is the inconsistency of the refereeing .

nothing worse that seeing the game stopped every few munutes by a whistle when letting the players *play on * mostly gives the offended team as much advantage as the free kick does .

verbal warning should be the first reaction of the ref in WCG iin MOST infractions and let the flow of the game continue .further infractions by the warned player may then be punnished by a free kick and if nessasary a yellow .
