... voice strain, so I have discovered.

With an unexpected day off, I have been digging out some old records and singing along. However, trying to sing Wuthering Heights along with Kate Bush like I did when I was 21 was a bad move! It was hilarious enough when my friend Amanda and I used to sing it loudly in her car but now I can barely even screech those high notes! Ah well.... My kids would probably never forgive me for trying - good thing they're at school! Perhaps I'll do better with songs from the 80s roll
lol You sound like me! I've been playing ABBA and singing along, much to my children's annoyance grin

I love it!

you sound like my wife .

She has a whole stack of abba cds in her car and office/work room .
on a trip to las vegas she choose a night out and we went to see the show based on abba music(mamma mia ) cost us a hefty $200 for tickets and then a arm and a leg for a few drinks.

Say what you like about abba music some say (yak) its won the test of time * 40 years *and is still the
model on which popular music is judged today .

abba where the best selling pop group of all time and you could understand the words .
Steady on John - it's only been 32 years! ;)
28.
har har har......
Embaressing moment #248067

Muriels Wedding.... Now that brings back memories. Maybe I'll rent it this weekend and treat my family to me singing along to the old Abba tunes.

It's when the pop stars of today bring out a record that is a remake of one from the past and I start singing to it, then my daughter looks at me with that look of 'how do you know the words to that. you're too old'! roll

When we got out our old records we found Grease, the original sound track from 1978. I was younger than my daughter is now when I got that. Katy hasn't stopped playing it and can't believe her mother was into such things. Then we end up going back to playing the Wombles and Ken Dodd and the Diddymen lol
My (younger) sister walked down the church aisle to Abba's "I do I do I do". (or whatever it's called)

I think she mostly did it to piss off her in-laws-to-be.

The marriage didn't last.
My kids love the stuff I like. Of course, they're still young, but right now it's the funniest/cutest thing on earth to listen to Thor singing along to Korn's "Twisted Transistor". I haven't yet worked out what he thinks the words are, but he sings them with gusto!
