Hello there, we just moved to Minneapolis. seems like a nice place. I'm out looking for work and stuff. Nice to be back in the midwest - not been any murders on the telly yet and we've been here four days.
Roads are bonkers and there's no grocery stores downtown. Anybody out this way? Fancy a pint at the britpub sometime?
cheerio for now

Hi,
Im in MN, south of the city.
Was planning to be at the Britpub for the world cup.
Michelle
I lived there a few years ago......I leave and all the other Brits arrive....typical.
Hello - we're in Minneapolis too! We also plan on going to Brit's to watch some of the World Cup. I looked at Brit's website and they have the schedule. Here's a link to it http//www.britspub.com/whats_on/index.php?strWebAction=tv_detail&intEventID=287
Yeh, I saw the link.
I will probably only make the Saturday match, seeing that work would not humour me on a footie day off.
Looks like a meet-up is being arranged )
We would also have to do it on a saturday because of work. My husband might be able to take a morning off during the week - but them ofcourse he is the Brit and the footie fan so it's a lot more important to him! He works downtown too so he could walk to work after a couple of hours (if he does not indulge in too many pints!)
)
Part-timers.
I just put in for 73 hours vacation so I can watch all the games the first week, a selection of the top games in the second week and then all the games in the second round and beyond.
That way I can stay home and watch the early games and then go down the pub and watch the lunchtime games if I want.
Can't wait.
As for Minneapolis, I only spent the day there once a couple of years ago but I liked it and would like to go back again for longer. It was really cold though (mid-December) and a blizzard (probably a small deposit of snow to Minnesotans) was just arriving as I left town.
Looks like Saturday June 10th is when we are going to go because England plays that morning. )
Well seeing that I have the MN groups attention, I will give a shameful plug for my theatre production a week Saturday.

If you look at todays blog you can see one of my rehearsal clips from last night.

Cool, i'd heard something about there being classy theatre here in town. Ever thought about adapting some Beckett? grin grin
Did anyone here make it to Brit's on Saturday?? We were there. It was lots of fun even though England could have played better. I couldn't believe how crowded it was!
Sorry,
I was in San Francisco at the time, but I should be in town for the next weekend match.
