I feel pretty bad for Barca. A blatant professional foul and Barcelona would have scored if the ref played the advantage. They didn't even get a penalty as it was out of the area... lol
1-0 to Arsenal on 70 mins. Looks like Arsenals' night to me.

I went and met some footy mates in the rec centre on campus to watch the game and it was standing room only - there were only about 4 of us out of 50 odd that wanted Arsenal to win.
Entertaining game but the sending-off put a different spin on it. Nice headed goal by Campbell and then I thought Arsenal's stand-in keeper could have done better on both Barca's goals.
Oh well - roll on World Cup....
Anyone else hear Thierry Henry right after the game? Ouch. And I thought Eto'o and Ronaldinho were his friends.
I thought the ref should have played advantage - but he could have given and goal and sent him off so maybe it was fortunate. I felt awful for Pires - shit way to end a career. Both Henry and Ronaldinho had quiet games. but considering Arse had 10 men and Ronaldinho was on the ball 10 times as often you have to say Henry did better. He was being battered all night by Puyol. Eboue is a great player but what a bad dive! Campbell scored a cracker - I really always thought he was cack but that was a good goal. Someone explain why Fabregas went off for Flamini?

I thought Ronaldihno was very poor. I also dunno about Arsenal's reserve keeper. Maybe a decent keeper would have been able to do something about Barca's goals.
I thought that Arsenal had a bright start, but the sending off completely changed the face of the game. I think that the ref should have played the advantage and give the goal. Just mainly for the sake of keeping it an exciting game. As Bungle pointed out the Arsenal goal came off a blatant dive so they had a little bit of fortune, and Henry had his chance to bury a goal later. Henry was screaming to the bench all the way through the second half, apparently it was something to do with substituting Hleb?
I can't stand Barcelona but I think that the best team won the game and probably the best team in europe won the european cup. And as for the FIFA player of the year........ Jar Jar Binks didnt really shine in this game wink
From what I've heard on the radio Henry was screaming at the bench because he'd been rendered completely inneffective. There was no point him being on - he didn't get the ball in the second half - so he wanted Wenger to change the team around. For some reason Wenger took this to mean take off Cesc (who'd been doing decently) and bring on Flamini (who didn't get a look in at all). For me Wenger should have been bolder. Before Barca scored he should have completely changed Arsenals formation. Once they scored he should have been even bolder and put on a good holding striker. Imagine if he had two extremely fast players to pin back the Barca wingbacks in Reyes and Walcott - instead he was reacting to rather than making Barca change.
