I like Curbishley so voted for him - his work ethic and coaching abilities have been impressive so far and the England job could do with a character like him in charge, instead of the over-paid rubbish of late (Bobby Robson excluded).
O'Neil is ok but I wasn't impressed when I saw him at Wycombe - when the chips were down, he seemd to take it out on his players, rather than motivate them to get a result. Still, that was many years ago now and he's probably matured since then - I'd make a lousy comment about a manager coming from Scotland but have seen the light in recent years with regards to that!

I know bugger all about this Scolari bloke other than he did a decent job for Brazil. But, they said that about Sven and things haven't really picked up that much.
Obviously it didn't really work last time so its hard to imagine why it would work again.

I've got a feeling Pearce is the boy for the job.

I think Pearce would be a good pick but he may have to curtail some of his emotional out bursts a bit wink
So none of you rate Sam Aladyce then?

Not sure about Big Sam myself. Sure Sir Alex is getting on a bit for the job?
Not an easy one to pick thats for sure. Will add Big Sam to the list because he is certainly worth consideration. He's been touted for the job like the others in the list too with the exception of Ron Atkinson.
Update I was going to add Big Sam but it looks like you cannot add your polls? Oh well.

I couldnt vote because I couldn't make my mind up....... ???
I'd like an english manager but I dont think there's any candidates who've really proved themselves at the highest level? Not that I dont like Allardyce or Curbushly but I just got my doubts that theyve got the experience at the highest level of management? But there again who has? ??? wink

I can think of an Englishman with International, European and World Cup experience who would jump at the chance to do it. Yet for some reason he has been overlooked for the job on a few occasions.
How's about Roy Hodgson?

I did consider Hodgson myself, to be honest I'm trying to think of reasons why I wouldnt want him to the job and I think he might be as good an english candidate as any other manager. The only thing that puts me off is his lack of success.

What like the kind when he used to score?....when he just stared into space wild-eyed and ignore everyone.

Anyone for old Harry Redknapp? Seeing as the front runner has now dropped out!

No, I get worried about how red his head goes and that it might explode under pressure.

That last comment was funny. I see it's neck and neck now between Martin o'Neil and Stuart Pearce.
I was reading today that the FA has someone in mind so it will be interesting to see who it is in the end.
