Congratulations! grin
Did you go in person to the immigration ofice for it or did you post it in? I have been told I can post it in but I don't know if that is a good idea.

I posted mine into the Nebraska Service Center. My notice date given was March 19th,
My case was approved May 18th, it took 60 days, should receive my notice of approval etc within the next couple of days. Then I can start work. I am feeling a bit nervous of the prospect of working again but am quite excited as well. I am just glad that I had 1 school year to settle my kids in etc.. looking forward to making lots of new friends grin

Misty, we have been informed that the EAD is only valid for 8 months. Is this true? How long does your last?
If yours is only for a short period of time too, is this just to give you time to get your SS number or are you having to renew yours everytime it runs out?
Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks smile

I understand that it's valid for 2 years then renewable.
I guess that's a way to get the $120 every 2 years wink
Congrats to Misty.
Peace

Paul, went there and can't find where it says how long the EAD is valid for on an L2 visa.
Richie, we have been told by someone applying for their EAD with an L2 visa on the West coast, who asked their lawyer, that they are only valid for 8 months!
The 2 years you mention, is than just general EAD's or specifically for L2's. Because these are new they may have their own limits.
$120 per 8 months is a bit more expensive than every two years! sad
Thanks for trying to help guys. If you can help more, I would greatly appreciate it. smile

Glad to help, if you are going to apply make sure that you also inclose a copy of the marriage certificate, I know of people that have been asked for this. It will help to not delay things. Please ask if you want to know anything else grin
