Alright Britnetters,

Well, me, Mr Snuggles and the little Snugglets arrived in the UK about 10 days ago and have only just got our computer set up. Things are going GREAT. Mr Snuggles and I spent a couple of days in Amsterdam (???) and he is now in Germany with his daughter who is visiting from the States for a bit. I have so much to tell you all, but my bangers, mash and gravy (Bisto of course) are calling. I will definitely get back on later to let you all know what is going on this side of the pond.

I can't wait to have time to have a good read over the posts from the last couple of weeks to see what you have all been up to.

Catch ya later

Good luck - keep us posted! D

It's been a long time since I had to warn y'all about putting your sausages where they don't belong! lol

headed for the food forum regards.......
Me first I want some bangers and mash lol

Will be visiting back home in a couple of months so keep them warm for me lol
Congratulations. Hope Mr Snuggles settles in OK and enjoys the good food, church bells on a Sunday, good boozers and the Prime Ministers question time. D

Sadly we don't have one of those dating forums here...

So Mango, what was your initial reaction when you stepped out of Heathrow??
OK, finally have some time. Mr Snuggles has taken the Snugglets to the park to play and to feed the horses in some field. Yes, that means it ISN"T raining, for all of the UK bashers out there. wink

Yeah, things are so much nicer than I remembered them being over here. First thoughts out of Heathrow were that everything was so green and clean. I used to always think that leaving Heathrow was grimy and nasty... Have I changed or has the place changed??? Who knows!!! I always lived in Chelsea before (right in central London) and now we are in Walton on Thames in Surrey. It is like night and day between the two.

We've been into London a couple of times, down the Kings Road to see my old stomping grounds and to show Mr Snuggles where the little Mango was born and raised. It is still trendy and flashy there, but the atmosphere is very laid back and friendly. Very European! Almost everyone has an accent now, but that seems to add to the atmosphere.

We took Mr Snuggs daughter to see the Tower of London and all that stuff. T'was very cool seeing that through new eyes (not literally - haven't had an eye transplant since last here roll ). I must have passed that stuff thousands of times growing up, but never really looked at it.

London is great, but I am glad we are in Surrey. It is so nice to look out of the back door into the garden and see a big green hill and a little kids playground. I haven't come across one single rude person. Everyone (including teenagers) have been so friendly and welcoming, but not in an "in your face" false way that I have been used to for the past nine years in the States (not bashing all Americans btw).

We almost missed our plane out of DC, so we were rushed around the airport like the Griswalds.... Two overloaded airport carts full of luggage, baby in stroller, two toddlers being dragged behind us (one barefoot as shoes had to be removed to go through the scanners and he didn't have time to put them back on), and luggage that weighed too much so we had to open it and throw out some stuff right there and then. BUT, Mr Snuggles and I plonked down in our seats on the plane and looked at eachother and smiled. It just felt so good, as though all the stress and strains of the past few months just slipped away, and I've felt that peace and contentment since then. I didn't even know I wanted to come home to be honest, but that is how it feels, like I came home. I went to pick Mr Snuggles up at the airport last night from his trip to Germany, and he said that it was nice to be home. Then he said that he already regards it as home, and it just feels right. Strange, the way things work out! This wasn't in our plans at all, but here we are and everything is just fine.

I will be back on soon. Take care over there y'all and it's good to be back online.

Seriously though!!

Good luck with everything and I hope it all settles down and life continues!!

Andrew )
Nice - glad you got over there ok and can now relax a bit.

Keep us posted on how the repatriation goes.
Thanks MacZ....... I hope life continues too!!! ??? lol
Reading what Mango just described has made me homesick. I can just picture the scenery and the park and the spring weather, etc.

Mind you, let's not forget they're in Surrey, one of the most beautiful parts of England. There's beauty all over of course, but Surrey is particularly nice. wink

/Kinda jealous regards smile
Nice to hear you got back safe....I'm next (2 weeks to go)...

Take care
