Maybe its me but only in England could you bump into your daughters rapist at the local shop!

How sick and twisted is that?

That's an awful story.

Makes one wonder who is the victim sometimes.

Frankly, if some vigilantes paid that guy a visit, I wouldn't shed any tears.
There's still something very wrong with the legal system if a rape victim has to hold up her underwear in court evil

I very much doubt it's only in England/UK -although here in the US at least it's not likely to happen in a local shop. Because there aren't many.

It certainly isn't desirable, but I'm pretty sure it could happen here too. And there are countries where women cannot even hope to get their rapists in court, never mind away from the local shop.

The "having to hold her knickers up in court" thing is very, very wrong, but it has nothing to do with the mother meeting the rapist in the store. They are using the awful details of the trial and subsequent suicide of the victim to sensationalize something else.

You know part of me says I agree, but what "if" she had just called rape? innocent till proven.......etc.
I'm sure he's a piece of work, and should be paid a visit, but he has been found guilty. even after, the girl had to hold up underwear. If the trial came as a shock to her, then her lawyer is very much at fault! she should have been preped for what was sure to come.
Still a very tragic story, don't get me wrong, very tragic, but the guy was found guilty. OK the 4 years is nout, should have had his do dads clamped in a vice! but he served the time given to him!

I'd have shot him and claimed self-defence.
