I thought some of you might like to know what England's world cup winners are up to. This is a very long article. A journalist tracked them all down and interviewed them all (nearly).

I feel like it is mostly Geoff Hurst who gets the press attention. This was a slightly different angle because it was all about their lives and not the game. I think it would make a decent book - 11 biographies each a chapter long. Though Gordon Banks will want the cash up front...

I remember the BBC did a TV series a few years ago called The Boys Of '66 and it was interesting to catch up on the lives of various team members. I read an article recently in 4-4-2 magazine about some of the England team and I kind of knew that some players were going to be hard to contact and interview. It's amazing to see how many ex-footballers are now in the after dinner speech circuit and are just living on it.
