of course...
make another sausage roll.

Nigel
I have a whole roll left from my sausage roll experiment last week, any ideas what to do with it. I prefer savoury dishes to sweet.
This is not very slimming.
But this is what i will do with either left over pastry OR purpose bought for horses doofers.
You will need some good Parma ham (proscuitto), either domestic or the real thing.
Some gruyere or comte cheese, or similar semi hard cheese that ahs a mild smoky flavour, slice thin.
Simply roll out the pastry until it's about 1/8" thick and into the shape of a rectangle, being careful not to pinch the edges of the piece.
Cut in half.
On one half place the proscuttio then top with the cheese.
Brush the edges with an egg wash, place the remaining sheet of pastry over the cheese/ham and pinch the edges together with the tines of a fork.
Cut fine and small cuts int he top of the pastry for decoration and brush (again) with an egg was.
Place on cookie sheet and bake in 400 degree oven until puffed and golden (about 20minutes).
Let cool somewhat, then slice into triangles and eat....
mmmmm
