American superstar Gene Pitney has been found dead aged 65 in his bed in a Cardiff hotel.

The song I always remember of his was that one with Marc Almond called "Something's Gotten Hold of My Heart". Sad news though.

I saw him at Fairfield Halls in Croydon many moons ago, great performer.

Another of the super 60s stars who had left us .
He keep on singing until the end , not many of todays stars will even be remembered in there twilight years .

his wailing voice was unusual and his list of hits is long ,some of my favourites are *only love can break a heart , only 24 hours from tulsa , and the man who shoot liberty valence *

Probably had a ticket for the next Cardiff Blues game and took the easy option
