Why oh why can't I find a dessert here without cinnamon in it?! It's in everything from cheesecake to well err applepie!! Sick of the stuff. I did eat one frozen apple pie once that tasted cinnamonless but can't for the life of me find that pie again! anyone???
I like cinnamon )

You could try a fruit salad grin
Or, alternately make your own cinnamonless apple pie with cloves instead.
Don't worry Kay, you're not the only one who hates cinnamon!

I am so sick of everything being flavoured with cinnamon or peanut butter. I like peanut butter on it's own, but not in anything else!

I normally make my own applesauce - one day was in a hurry and bought a jar - no cinnamon listed in ingredients - so hubby tasted it for me, just in case, good job I didn't try it, it had cinnamon in it!
I don't like lots of cinnamon in stuff either so I just don't eat that stuff unless I can find a low or no cinnamon alternative.
I'm another who doesn't like cinnamon added to everything.
There are loads of frozen fruit pies without cinnamon at Smiths - you have those in Cali, right?

/could be considered cheating
//too lazy to bake
Yeah it might be time to make one - I hated apple pie until I had a home made one.

On a related point I find that corn syrup is in absolutely everything. I wouldn't be surprised to find it in the water supply. I'm convinced corn syrup is one of the main reasons for a higher rate of obesity/GERD/crap food in the US.

I think you are right about the contribution to obesity. If you want to know why so much is used, look here You have to scroll down to get to the article.

I don't mind it.

It is actually quite healthy for you. Supposed to help relieve gas, bloating and heartburn along with antibacterial properties so I have no problems with it.

I HATE tea but I've started drinking it (green with blackcurrant) and I am starting to get used to it. Not quite liking it much, but it's healthy! mrgreen

and here are my heros reasons for not ingesting that foulest of substances. After all we only have one liver, to destroy it this way ain't sweet at all.

I agree, Cinnamon and bloody peanuts - agree on the syrup thing too, we go to a funky shiny diner for breakfast at the weekends and i watch horrified as people dump gallons of the stuff all over their breakfasts. Bit odd that one.
I think what really affects the obesity rate in the US in not the fact that syrup is in/on everything, but that a simple meal such as breakfast is turned into a gigantic feast with side dishes, second helpings etc.
Had toast for breakfast at said diner the other morning, cost me a dollar, four slices and a bottomless coffee cup, fab. grin
This is a good talking about the obesity!!I learn a lot more about obesity here,I like it.
I search Yahoo for long time and find here.By the way I found some content on another website about it.Also, you can find some other on it,such as texas map or credit bureau or prostrate.
LOL!Good job and go on talking plz, boys :)
I looked at the Mrs. Smith's pies and they all have cinnamon in them.

My wife always use Granny Smith apples for her apple pies, these don't hold their shape, but they taste better than, say, Golden Delicious which, do hold their shape.
