Just been on a website that says all aliens are required to notify USCIS within 10 days of any change in address. Now I'm panicking.......helppppppp shock
Panicking why????
If you have moved and didn't notify them, just do it as soon as you are able.
They don't lock you up or throw you out of the country for not notifying them.
I moved from UT to CA last August, I haven't got round to telling them yet, and I have left the country and came back. I spoke to someine who moved down from Canada 10 years ago about the same thing, she just threw up her hands and said she stopped telling them anything the moment she got her green card.
I don't know how much has changed since 9/11, but we used to send in a card in each January, and at every change of address. I found out, subsequently, that they only filed them when the airport was shut down for the weather, and they went to the office instead. Until then they were kept in barrels. If they missed a year, they threw it out. Judging by the way that DHS has been mis-allocating personnel, they probably still do it that way.
