More Than a Million French Protest Law

PARIS - More than 1 million people poured into the streets across France and strikers disrupted air, rail and bus travel Tuesday — even shutting down the Eiffel Tower — in the largest nationwide protest over a youth labor law.



Funny that isnt it france being considered by the left as one of the examples of a forward thinking socialist country ..

goes to show there are *have.s and have nots *in all countries socialist , capitalist or otherwise .

the french are in a world of hurt at the moment and Germany is not far behind. I heard the Germans had something like 25% unemployment within there youth.

Again this is what is going to pull Europe apart. Influx of cheap labour from old eastern block countries that are now in the EU. After all why be a brick layer in Poland for 25,000 Euros a year when you can come to germany get 35,000 euros and still undercut local brickie prices.
