Are there any expat foreigners in Athens reading this? If so, you might be interested in joining "Meet in Athens" a group for expats in the city.
We have around 90 members of various nationalities and so far met we have met for coffees, drinks, dinners and bouzoukia nights. Our get-togethers take place on a regular basis. The summer is on its way and the warmer weather will bring with it lots more opportunities to meet people who are in your situation. Rather than being centrally run, people suggest activities / outings etc to the other members of the group. So the group relies on the enthusiasm and imagination of our members, which has proved really strong so far.
