Hi fellow expats!

I have lived in the US for over seven years now and apart from Americans calling Football 'soccer' I've been enjoying my stay very much (especially the climate where I live - we haven't had Winter yet!)

I was just curious how far-reaching World Cup Song madness spreads amongst the Expat fraternity. Some London-based friends of mine are trying to contend with their own song for the World Cup and I'm being drawn in to the 'loonacy' of World Cup song fever!

I look forward to hearing any comments.

Sounds alright. Hope the royalties to whoever wrote it for The Bangles aren't too much though.

I don't notice any world cup songs here - speaking very generally, I find American chants to be quite dire but then they haven't had almost a millenium to fine-tune the raw aggression, learned on the battlefields from Hastings to Northern Germany wink
Thanks for the reply Pilgrim (the 007, . . . a Bond fan?)

As to the song, I think the lyrics are quite fun, not sure how the footy fans will take to a spoofed-up Bangles song though. As far as the royalties go, that's the music biz - I guess that's down to their folks back home to negotiate as best they can.

Thanks once again!
