Am I the only one that presumed he had already died?

Nope.

One of the greatest scandals in modern british politics .

Unlike here in the states british politicans when involved in a scandal likely to put the ruling party in disrepute resign .

I think mandy ( rice davis ) is still alive

Well in the good old days... not sure Tessa Jowell got the memo....

Not sure which was more scandalous - Profumo's private life or the way Stephen Ward was hung out to dry by MI5.

That's not even true, in this case, he denied his associations at the bar of the house and didn't resign until the opposition showed absolute proof that he lied, despite the fact that "five" must have known.

The difference is that he resigned for lying to the house, not for having a bit on the side.

I think Christine Keeler is still alive.

Its one of those political scandals that was so long ago that it no longer has any serious meaning. Though I read that the following report was a best seller.
