Nice long weekend coming up, what are you all up to. My stepdaugher is coming home for the weekend and she is 15, so no doubt I will be finding out how I have ruined her life and that I don't understand her...which I don't..she's 15 for chrissake.
Anyway, what about the rest of ya's ???
Long weekend here as well and our daughter is flying in tonight from LA to spend the weekend with us, yea! lol I'm sure there will be plenty of shopping, eating and lazing around to be done so should be a great few days. mrgreen
Nope, standard 2 day weekend for me. Bugger.
I don't think I have Monday off.
Just in case, I took a day off yesterday which I was owed from Christmas anyway.
Nope, not a long weekend here either.
Why the long weekend? What's the holiday?
What are you lot bragging about a long weekend for? What's the occasion? I have Sunday off I think.
Presidents Day!
I took last Wed, Thurs and today (Fri) off, so my long weekend is actually a nice 6 day break. Today me n Mr Snuggles took the sprogs to the zoo, which was great. We had a little difference of opinion on the way out over the zebras. Are they black with white stripes or white with black stripes? I say they're black with white, he says white with black.
Well??? Is there a right or wrong answer? roll Quite nice really, to have nothing more important to fight over.
White with black stripes.
I say white with black too -) Long week-end for us too, nothing much planned though just heading out to furniture shop today other than that not much really!!
Why the long weekend? What's the holiday?
Preznit's Day.
Lots of commercials exorting people to go out and buy things with dancing Jorge Washingtons / Abe Lincolns on tv here.
/that's how you know it's a holiday
The schools here have MLK day instead of Presidents. Although the schools in the neigbouring town get both.
Kids here have the whole week off! My work is closed Monday and I'm taking Wednesday off but still have college two days. So Yes, I'm off Monday but hubby is working. roll
And as for the zebras. Apparently it can be both.
There is an explanation on this site
