My sister has had a troubled pregnancy, she was taken back in last week with side effects from an ongoing kidney infection and her waters broke 3 weeks early. They delivered my new niece by emergency C as there had been concerns about her heart beat and weight. She was taken off immediately to intensive care, her blood sugars were virtually none. Up until Sunday there was hope that they could kick start her pancreas by feeding her sugars but didn't work. The poor girl was taken to Great Ormond Street yesterday in the hope they can help her. My sister, her husband and 2 yr old are going to live in a family unit there until she is recovered.
So sad cry
So sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family (do you have a name for her?).
Thank you, her name is Mia.
I'm not religious, but am sending positive thoughts Mia's way grin
Great Ormond St is a fantastic hospital. She'll be in the best hands. My thoughts are with your family, Portishead. Keep us posted.

Sorry to hear again postive thoughts are on the way from all us here. I really do think they help. Keep us updated
Just remember, "by His stripes we are healed". Keep thinking positive thoughts, "confess the positive" as my wife wrote in a song
"Your words are evidence of what your heart believes
Confess the positive so that you may receive"
All of our thoughts and wishes for good health go out to little Mia too.
my best wishes to little Mia and family.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. Mia is recieving 24 hr care from a special team at Great Ormond Street, she has one of the top doctors skilled in that area helping her which is wonderful. The poor little thing has tubes coming out of her left right and centre. The docs are hoping they have a drug that can help her or she may need sugery, but more tests need to be run first. There is also no conclusion as to whether she suffered any kind of brain damage, very sad. It was my sister's birthday today, I was really hoping she would have had better news. But tomorrow is another day!
