My wife is Canadian and we have been discussing moving to Canada for a while. I have just started to fill in the immigration application forms and was wondering if anyone could share a bit of knowledge on a couple of things.

Firstly, with her being Canadian she is sponsoring me to become a permanent resident. The first form I have started to fill in asks

"how many members (including myself) are included in this application for permanent residence in Canada?"

Now, seeing as she is Canadian and actually sponsoring me do I have to include her or do I just put in 1.

Also, further on in the form it asks for details of family members ie. spouse, children. Again, do I include her on this as she does not need to go through the immigration process.

If anyone has any knowledge or experiences on this could they please advise what is required.

Thanks alot.

Thanks for that. I had read that document before but due to reading so much over the past days I had forgotten what was and wasn't required. Reading through it again has answered my question (hopefully).

Thanks again.
Hello Daz!

How's the paperwork going? I too am married to a Canadian, and have been in Canada for 3 years on a visitors visa... what a holiday! I have all the immigration paperwork stashed here and eventually must get around to filling it all out... there is soooo much of it! GOOD LUCK!
