This seems to be a pretty good example of what kind of censorship Google is imposing upon itself for China. Type Tiananmen Square into UK Google Images -

And type it into China's

http//images.google.cn/images?q=tiananmen%20square

WTF? Thought police at work again.
How principled of them.
Oddly enough I'm with Google on this one too. When a person googles in China they're told there are ommissions, so they know they're missing something. before they weren't told and had no choice but to accept the ruling party word.
Surely better to know something is being kept from you, even if you're not allowed to know exactly what it is.
I'm with google too. They are simply obeying the law of China. I have been amused at all the talking heads getting indignant at this. I remember their ire at foreign countries not wanting to follow American laws.
