I've found another site where someone gives their account of what their new adopted country is like. It's actually pretty interesting as the guy gives his first impressions, his new and current impression, and lots of "how England works" stuff.

It's certainly alot better than the last one I posted here. Whaddya think - did he do a good job?
(edited due to attrocious spelling)
that was really interesting, thanks for posting. grin
Not bad that. A few little things I'd pick on but not much and he gives a pretty decent review of everything generally I'd say.
I thought the same. Much better than the last "review".
I enjoyed reading that. A pretty fair view I'd say - it's more positive than what you read on the Beeb!
Very nice. Reminds me of our early days in Dorking and Westcott.
I know this will sound like sour grapes, but it's much easier to attain that idyllic lifestyle when you're the CEO of the company.

Just keep scrolling to see the inevitable "the man's an arse". lol

I didn't know Gladstone was jewish. Maybe if he told Disraeli they would have got on a lot better mrgreen
Wasn't Gladstone the one who liked hookers?
makes me homesick....again !!!
Yeah it had that affect here too. Luckily (or unluckily as some might see it) I'm heading back in two and a half years.

My wife has an NSF grant that has just over 2 years left. So when thinking about what to do (and where to go) next she asked if I wanted to go home. I said yep.
