I am sure some of you will remember last weekend I was particularly concerned and worried.........little did I know that in one week's time I would be receiving THIS letter in the mailbox!!! UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah Karen... Way to go!!! And you don't even have to give a nose print. Lucky you.
Congratulations. Now you can stop all that worrying. lol
That's brilliant - talk about accelerated.
Well done Karen.
Wow, must the quickest ever.
Congratulations Karen
That's the second recent report of super speedy service! Looks like they've decided to pull their fingers out now Beest and I are no longer waiting for our cards! lol Congratulations )
FYI - Just made my Infopass appointment today for my new Green Card ADIT processing.
Friday, January 20th, 2006 at 11.15am!!!
There is a clause in the fine-print of the Infopass instructions that I had to print out that states "we require you to bring all applicable immigration forms, letters, receipts, translations and originals of supporing documents".........so I'm wondering if I need to pack a suitcase full of all my originals of what I sent them with the I-751........I dunno - because I've been approved and everything..........this is just an administrative appointment.
What would y'all do?
KR
I would have thought your letter of approval was all that was "applicable" to this visit. But I'm no expert as I have proven time and time again, so I probably should really shut up and quit answering immigration queries! lol
great news for Friday!
Many congratulations, Karen. I can only hope mine will be dealt with as quicly when my turn comes. wink
blimey, that was mega quick.
nice one!
Well done for you - I am in the long long agony of waiting for my Naturalization - I just put my package in before christmas, as I had to renew my green card before I could apply as it was expired in August. So hopefully I will become an Ammurican (as per VRB) within "360-390 days" that it states on my receipt.
On the other subject which is mentioned in your blog, the acne - I am diabetic and have had a terrible time with my skin erupting into some hideous cystic acne before now. I was treated a couple years ago with Accutane, which is now almost outlawed because of the birth defect possibility. Although like you, I am child free by choice and no plans to change that either (the old man has had the snip now too).
Now I use the Pro Activ, and it's bloody amazing. I still get the odd spot, here and there, but nothing like the oily skin eruptions I had in the past. It costs 39.95 plus s+h each 60 days and works like a charm. Just thought you might want to know - as I was pretty desperate to try something from in informercial, and was expecting it to be a piece of crap. grin grin
Hey Karen
I just want to say I'm sooooooooo happy for you!!! It's hell in the interim time between coming here and being approved for green card. I've been here nearly 18 months and haven't been to interview yet. I understand it's a really tough interview and medical and I'm dreading it. I married here and it terrifies me that our future is dependent on some official's decision. Also I have a dog I love here that I would have to put in quarantine if have to go back to UK. Plus the fact that I have spent lot of money here so house I would be able to buy in UK not comparable with the one I sold to come here. All this uncertainty about future hard to deal with so I can imagine how happy you were to get that great news. My best wishes go out to you!! grin
Great news Karen....
Mine too...
Yesterday Feb 23rd I received a plain envelope from my service centre in Nebraska. To my amazement it contained a form letter which simply said that my allplication is approved and attached to the letter was my new 10 year Permanent Resident card complete with new photo and fingerprint!
2 months from I-751 application to card in hand and no need to visit my local office.... SO that's why they wanted my old card! (as discussed elsewhere...lol)

I'm diabetic too, insulin dependent, have been for 34 years, since 7, and wondering how you're finding controlling it over here? I've never had so many probs in my life before with it!!
Hope your naturalization papers arrive soon!!

Congrads!! You must be thrilled, I received mine not so long ago but I had a longer wait than that!!!
