Can't he do them all at the same time? I'd rather be out than just numbed, I can tell you.... good luck :)
You're not a wimp, you're normal.
When people tell you they have no fear of these procedures they're either drunk, high as a kite on the prescribed meds some docs give you to calm you down beforehand, or they're just unfeeling barstewards.
Think not of what may go wrong, but of the time spent drinking clear warm soups and losing all that holiday poundage you wracked up in the last couple of months.
You'll weigh less, be healthier, bad teeth apparently lead to heart problems, and look fabulous, long before most of us have woken up from the stupor turkey and cake induces.
Be brave. let us know how it goes, and enjoy the painkillers.
Me, I won't even go in for the deep cleaning, bought myself one of those water picks with tools in a sale. So fear not, I shall be thinking of you. You brave person you.

Nope, no can do. mydentist was so booked I had to schedule with a root canal specialist, must be a crazy person to do those things all day long.
The wisdom teeth are being pulled by a dental surgeon, who I would love to hate but he was such a lovely guy.

Well Annie you put fowrd some great points, still the whole thing freaks me out, maybe something like that happened in a former life??!!?? I also don't enjoy the meds, I have been on them before after two major ops, I hate feeling so out of control.
I had a root canal done and it went off great untill the Root canal guy said the tooth has a hole rotted right through it and when he put a wire through it it goes right into your jawbone and that is a No- No, you will have to have it pulled out he said.
So he lined me up with a Tooth - puller dentist and that under the cicumstances went ok, but it was no fun either. neutral
I think you will find the root canal man so good and fast at his job he will cause far less discomfort than a regular dentist doing a standard filling. mrgreen
I have some wisdom teeth that I hope to God I can keep till I pop my clogs -getting them out is no fun. mad
I have since learned that humans have 4 teeth too many in their mouths and dentists say we should have them(4 wisdom teeth) out when we are children~ less problems than when adults. ???
PS I was having an eyelid operation and was chatting to the surgeon,I asked him did it worry him going to the dentist, he said he has to have an anesthetic just to go to the dentists office. The last time he went he talked the Dentist out of the operation and took him for dinner grin
As one that has had a whole mouth remodel . . .
oh I shouldn't be so rude
lol Just knock me out and let me wake up 8 hrs later lol

Ugh......good luck on the tooth thing there. I haven't been to a dentist since I came over to this country, I'm thinking I should get after that sometime soon here.....
On a side note - what do you mean that you have a date for your I-751?? Isn't it just a case of filing the stuff by mail with the USCIS?? I'm hoping so.....cause that's what I did just last month!!!

I am so glad I don't have to deal with that I-75 stuff anymore. Days of standing in queues at some ungodley time in the morning are long gone lol

Well........technically..........the I-751 is all done via mail. Unless I've just arsed it all up by reading the instructions wrong!!!

My hubby had 4 wisdom teeth out at the same time last year. I took him to the surgery, relatively compusmentus at 8am, and when I saw him 30 minutes later, he was very, very happy, and talking absolute gibberish, but in no pain. He insisted on bringing those 4 lovely teeth with him, and opening the tissue when he got in the car to have a good look. In the condition he was in, he still thought the tooth fairy existed. Once we were home, I persuaded him to go to bed, and after some more gibberish, including a gibberish-filled call to work (gave them a good laugh!), he fell asleep for 2 or 3 hours. When he woke up, he couldn't remember a thing. He was careful with what he ate, drank and did for a few days, and used the painkillers only once, but everything was fine.
We've both had root canals done, and have been fine afterwards, despite great warnings from the dentist that it could be painful.
Good luck. Don't even think of driving after the knock out drops, and make sure you get plenty of sympathy ;)
When I had my wisdoms pulled, I was worried but afterwards I was thinking how easy and......er....enjoyable it all was. Seriously, I went to sleep, woke up with a more spacious mouth to fit more food in, plus I got high for a while.
My wisdom teeth experience was very much like Scramble's.
Seemed a lot easier than people tend to make out and the prescriptions are pretty good.
Still got my wisdom teeth lol,
Was always told not to have them out unless they hurt.
