I don't quite know what to think about this.

A good friend of mine and I love her to death, will NOT share her recipe for chocolate peanutbutter candy balls. She claims that if she gives everyone her special recipe, that they won't be special anymore. ???

I know that she prides herself as an excellent baker of delicious Christmas goodies but look, she ain't the only one!

She is very competitive in being the best dressed, with the cleanest house, (obsessively so) designer outfitted children, biggest car, etc. and yet she is one of the kindest people I know.

Me, if anyone asks for my ????? recipe, I am more than willing to share. grin

Because it's one of the things she thinks makes people like her, if she gave away the recipe those people wouldn't need her to give them the candy balls

I agree. She is out to impress, not to help other people outshine her. It's all part of the facade that possibly hides unhappiness or low self-esteem.

It's also possible she harbours a secret plan to sell them as a business some day. It may be a pipe dream, but if she shares the recipe it's not even that....

You have no idea how acurate you and KG are!

She is wired all day everyday. Don't think she is on anything, not that I'm aware of.

She rises EVERY morning at 4:15 am to work out till 6 am then it's house cleaning till about 9 am (yes, she cleans everyday) - she is the most 'disciplined' person I know. (if that is the appropriate word :wink: )

She has a heart of pure gold but she won't share that damned recipe!!! :wink:

Maybe the best idea in this case would be to find a recipe that's even better than hers. There are several you might have a look at on:
