The following is a very serious alert to all you people with regards to a new virus that may be about to start doing the rounds. It's not a hoax, it's not "oh no not another one". It's something you need to be aware of if using AOL, ICQ, MSN, windows, or Yahoo Instant Messengers, if for no other reason then by simple virtue of how this one works, leading you to believe you're fine afterwards. Another two things this worm attempts are reportedly keystroke logging and the shutdown of antivirus software.
It's called IM.GiftCom.All (nicknamed the Santa Worm. It's only a medium risk in terms of distribution right now, but it carries a quite high risk in terms of damage - as I've seen before though, it only takes one person to get it in a particular circle of people for lots more to get it.
