I am being bombarded by should he or shouldn't he be executed. If Ahnold decides to repreive him it will still be life inside but at least not execution. being anti-death penalty i see no reason to execute him. He's been nominated for Nobels and such and the material he produces is all anti-gang and seems to have an effect. I think a live example of what happens is better than a dead one. I also don't know why the DA doesn't want the old evidence gone over with todays modern methods,

Remember he was convicted in the 70's. Any black man was guilty before he was arrested then, the evidence was made to fit.

I wouldn’t mind if it was not for the fact he still claims he is innocent of the crimes in question, all his work since is hollow to the family’s of the lives he stole. If he actually had the balls to step forward and take responsibility for his actions claiming to have reformed and doing good would give him some credence at the hearing, however he has not and deserves to be punished and held up as an example.

What better of an example could you ask for to the kids in gangs that death is all that awaits such crimes?

Nope if is allowed to live, regardless of the fact it should have been done years ago, it will send completely the wrong message, and simply confirm to all that this country is slipping even further from reality.

Ok ok we're getting the point, it's an eye for an eye and you want to flick the switch on him. This guy murdered people and you want to get right down to the same depraved level and murder right back.

If he is spared, what kind of message are we sending out? Just think if he had done that in Saudi or other muslim countries, he will have been long gone. There has to be a deterent for people that want to get into mischevious things like that.

Capital punishment seems to work in some countries, like you won't go spraying grafitti in Bangkok

I do not care when his crime was, what he has done since, nor what race he is, you kill four innocent bystanders you got to go. I agree they should of taken him out the day after the death sentence and did it then. If he was never found and arrested would he of wrote children's books and spoke out against gangs, hell no. Chances are highly that he would of continued his rampage intruding on innocent peoples lives.

Jailhouse Jesus, they find him in there and as pointed out Jesus stays in prison because they sure enough lose him after released.

These are not my laws? they are this countries laws lizzi! CA has the death penalty, damn well enforce it's use quickly when sentance is handed down. It costs, hundreds of thousands for someone to sit on death row for 25 years, and for what? more money to be wasted on legal bull, that achieves nothing.
And no, I don't believe in an eye for an eye, my thoughts are far worse! He certainly would not be in prision, where he does not need to worry about a thing, because we all do it for him!

While I don't believe in Jesus, I do believe in redmption. Let him live out his life behind bars.

And anjit, while capital punishemnt works, as demonstrated by the innocent and guilty dead inmates, it has no proven deterent effect.

Fortunately in Canada we don't have to agonise over whether someone else has to die.
Also murderers here don't get to live for years in relative luxury while they wait for all those appeals.

They get sent to the regular prison. Much less expense.

I don't think the state ought to be killing people. I'm against the DP and I think some of the faux religious in this country ought to be speaking out and saying it's wrong.

However, with so many people being unjustly killed in the world right now, civillians in Iraq, US troops in Iraq, in the Sudan, in Uganda and other places, I have little time to worry about this one.

Just the 7th largest economy in the world. The toughest emmissions standards in the entire states, being sued by car manufacturers for demanding more miles per gallon, not much really.

It always makes me wonder why these hard core prisoners always seem to find Jesus after they find themselves on death row....funny, that.
