That would be a great Christmas present for me and no mistake.

/Yes, I did say that out loud.[/url]
Damn it - she isn't on my death list either. I'm not doing well this year at all.
Probably the result of her daughter taking a pee in front of the camera on I'm a celebrity get me out of here. She won't die yet, people like her don't, ever, you have to have lived to die, did she, was she, ever really alive?
Come on guys it's not very in the xmas spirit is it?

bu..bu...but......who'll bail out Mark next time he wants to overthrow a third world nation???

for god sake VRB, think of the children!

Will that make him Lord Thatcher then? Gawd what a thought roll
She has no effect now so I don't mind if she lives out a long and happy life, it's the Blair thats screwing things up now.
So can someone explain why they didn't like her?

Had a sneaking admiration for the old gal myself. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that naebody likes a woman when she's acting like an arsehole but accept it from men. After all, James Callaghan her predecessor had nothing better to do than bugger up Britain. All I remember from very early childhood is powercuts and they couldn't bury my Grandad for three weeks. Remember the winter of discontent? Major was a non entity and now we have Blair. Are we going to say the same things about Blair when the Grim Reaper comes a knocking?

Oh, and when Thatcher the Snatcher took those 1/3 pint of warm milk bottles from me I was very pleased indeed. Everytime I have had milk that's sat out for a bit now it takes me back to a 100 year old knackered schoolhouse in Cornwall and a mean old bat telling me that I must drink it because it's good for me.
Lol, I remember the milk, tiny little bottles with the proper foil top )

And yet, my children still got milk at school. OK, we had to pay 2GBP a term for the privilage if we wanted it.

I wonder if your feelings for Margaret Thatcher depend on your age. If you remember what life was life before she came along? I remember life before Margaret Thatcher, and while she did go OTT towards the end, in the beginning she was a breath of fresh air and gave hope back to the UK. People were so angry for such a long time. People who wanted to do well, who wanted to have a chance to succeed in life, no matter how hard they tried just couldn't get anywhere. Then she came along and gave those people who wanted a better life, a chance to change.
