Yes it opens here in Ottawa this Fri.We plan to see it next Monday afternoon.

I just got back from seeing this film. We loved it. Don't want to spoil it for anyone still waiting to see it, though it doesn't really stray from the book so not much to spoil.
We just got back from it too!

I really enjoyed it!
We saw it last night too. Two of the shows were sold out, so we ended up going at 10pm. Outstanding movie!!!!
Yes, a great move, written by a Great British Writer! Aplause for C.S Lewis!
Read the books in the 60's, haven't seen the new movie, proly very good technically, but, way too Christian for me. neutral
Yes it definatly has the Jesus dying for our sin's message in it.
Very well made, very true to the book. So well made, it probably needed a higher rating -scared the crap out of our 6-year-old. The Christianity -yes, very prominent. A problem for non-Christians? Nah! Jesus Christ Superstar is one of my favourite movies! lol A movie I'd watch over and over or have gone to see if it wasn't for taking the sprogs? ....nah.

But thats only if you read into it. When I read these books, I hadn't a clue about the Christian analogy, and it didn't even occur to me.

Well it's there and pretty obvious to most from the opinions I've read/heard. Either way, my point was that there's no need to get your knickers in a twist about it, just treat it like any other story. I really don't understand why so many people get all bent out of shape about it :???: You're not suddenly going to come out of the cinema believing in god against your will and if you think your children are, well that's what the PG is for -parental guidance.

I took Sabrina to see this on Saturday afternoon, as she got to tag round with me for the day (her mother was on a course all weekend).

I was a bit worried it would be too much for a five year old but was pleased to see her stay enthralled for the vast majority of the film. There was a little bit of shuffling in the seat when the popcorn combo box ran out but other than that, she was very much into it.

For myself, I thought it was very good - one of the most enjoyable films I've seen in a while. I hope they make some more in the series as this one was the only story I really remember - from reading the book at school and then watching the BBC series in the late 80's. I lost interest after that and regret not keeping up with the rest of the story.

I couldn't care less about the supposed Christian story beneath - wasn't really "in-your-face" and a great story/film, regardless.
