There is a bit of a debate in my part of West Susex as to when they should go up...only a couple of people have them up alreday and everyone is saying it is far too early with some wishing to stick to the 12 days b4/after but my outside lights are up although not turned on, in case it gets cold(er) soon.

Guess I'll sort them ll out in about 10 days time to get use out of them given the effort it takes.....

Oh widget's not a problem, make it a animal friendly tree. Secure it, and instead of glass ornaments, you could hang kitty treats...     (just a suggestion)

Neither of them (Bean nor Widget) like "treats". It's more along the lines that it's just a waste of time and serves no purpose for us (I think it's a result of living here actually). We (thankfully) don't have anyone come for christmas and will simply spend the time with each other maybe going for a bike ride and possibly cook something nice for us. The giving presents thing has long gone (for folks here or over there).

Andrew :)

No decorations up here either yet. I usually wait until the week before Christmas to put them up, however I'm going to put them up earlier this year...just because I can. mrgreen We don't have outdoor decorations and inside I only put up a small (3ft) fibre-optic Christmas Tree and a little fibre-optic 'snow scene' village (which sounds crass, but it's really cute and 'Christmassy'. smile) I had considered buying a larger Christmas Tree this year but our cat has enough issues with the small one. I just know he'd hurl himself at it and he's a clutz - I don't want to risk him knocking it over, hurting himself, and demolishing everything in the immedate vicinity. roll
Yes, we have ours up, and I hope it won't take as long to take them down again! roll
Was looking for inspiration, and boy did I find it!
Only wish I had the time to do this, lol

bloody marvellous
Wow - best American Christmas lights ever. The others may as well not bother wink
Magnificent. Imagine doing that to Independance Hall, or Philadelphia City Hall, with lights flashing on Billy Penn's statue.

I didn't know the music, does anyone know what it is?
Yikes! I don't think I'd like to live next door to that lot! LOL.
Wow!!!

Ouch... my eyes are bleeding. If I had to live next to him I'd end up sticking every single light up his bunghole.

With an equally annoying music track.

No, but I quite like it

The tune is "Wizard In Winter" by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra from "The Lost Christmas Eve" cd.

/Or at least that's what Snopes say anyhoo
