I haven't had Bovril in years. I'd perish without Marmite but Bovril was a nice beefy alternative when I was a kid, particularly as a hot drink. I wonder if I'd find it rather salty now.

Lovely - I have a jar in the cupboard that is probably well past it's sell by date but then British ex-pat food never goes off wink

I think the new Bovril has no meat extract at all. That was due to the beef on the bone debacle of 1990-umph.
