Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

This is my first in 4 years without the inlaws. Thankyou!!!
Happy TG from CT!!

We're doing our meal tomorrow as Mike was meant to be working today so I arranged everything for the Friday. He's now not got to go into work but I'm not altering my schedule as we have company coming from the Cape and they're not due until this afternoon, although with the snow it could be this evening!

Anyway, we'll be having roast turkey etc, just like Christmas - I've even got some crackers to pull! I've started making the raspberry/sherry trifle and my friend is making a bourbon pecan pie - yummy!! Loads to drink and party games if we feel inclined. Meanwhile, today Mike is fitting the additional kitchen cabinets and countertop that finally arrived at Home Despot last night.

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Debs x
Hope everyone has a good great Thanks Giving.

Spending it at home this year as I have work tomorrow lol. Still trying to figure out why its on a Thursday. Maybe they were real party animals, back in the day (contrary to popular believe) and their week ends started on a Thursday lol.
Going to my "friends" parents for the Turkey meal today.
They are hilarious family so should have a fun time.

Hope yours is all good.

Happy Thanksgiving Macziplock!  How are you and other Britnetters spending it?

I'll be painting still until about 1pm tomorrow, then out to husbands cousins house for turkey and all manner of jelloed side dishes!  Excellent!

We just got back from a 1 hour cycle ride - we're going to go for a drive in the car up to the city (SF) and then I'm going make a curry for dinner (we don't really do TG anymore as E's parents go away - they're divorced and remarried) and so it makes life easy!

Kinda the same at Xmas too. So life is easy!

Andrew :)

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone grin We're going to some friends in a bit, looking foward to it.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Very Happy here, his nibs is up and about and we've slaughtered the first bottle of bubbly.
Huzzah for thanksgiving. lol
Thanksgiving is like Christmas without the presents, what a gip!!!

Also not celebrate back here in Good ol' Blighty, regardless I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving Day grin

Where they have Thanksgiving on a different day....

Tried pumpkin pie for the first time on thanksgiving day. Not good. Neither are sweet potatoes. Or yams.
No!!! Don't start the sweet potato/yam debate again!!!

Anyone else remember the days when an argument over a yam lasted 19 pages? shock

They have to be cooked just right and made somewhat spiceh...

But as Bungle quite rightly put it, I have only just come out of counselling after that last debate.....

I don't remember that debate. In any case, I quite like sweet potatoes and yams and I hear they're very nutritious.

Oh, and they're not the same thing.
Oops, looks like I was responsible for starting that!
