errr.....draining the chairmans cheque book wasn't it???

Okay here's my Newcastle team under Keegan. Ive deliberately left out Andy (sorry Andrew wink ) Cole because of having Gillespie. I got to say I enjoyed watching Newcastle then, they were a really exciting and unpredictable team to watch, but 'I would have loved it' if they would have won the league mrgreen
(cue Horatio Underpants cursing anti-Newcastle swear words wink )
(only kidding mate! wink )

About 80% of this was from memory but I couldn't remember Gillespie's surname or Ketsbaia surname ???
So I did cheat just a little bit roll

Sorry if it looks a little crude peeps I'm not that computer savvy!!
(As if you didn't know that by now!! wink )
I did take the luxury of moving Beardsley just to accomodate Asprilla.

---------------------------------------------S.Given-----------------------------
-------------------------------------( A Given right? wink )-----------

----------------------P. Albert-------------D. Peacock----------------------J.Beresford
----------(converted midfielder)---(worth it for the ponytail alone)--(fan favourite)--

----K.Gillespie------------------R.Lee---------------P.Beardsley-----------------D.Ginola-----
(Andy Cole trade)-------(great 2 way player)---(Geordie Legend)------(expensive luxury)

------------------------------------------F.Asprilla---------------------------------------------
-------------------------------(claimed to be Keegan's folly)

--------------------------------L.Ferdinand---------------A.Shearer-----------------------------
-------------------( goal machine in his prime)----(never quite as good as with Blackburn)

Okay subs....

G. S. Hislop (started shakey and then went)
D. S Watson (classic Keegan utility man)
D. R. Elliott (remember when he broke his leg? urghh)
D. W. Barton (Wimbledon pickup)
D. S Howey (spent more time injured)

M. D. Batty (good ball winner for them)
M. L. Clark (didnt get a whole lot of playing time)

F. T. Ketsbaia (he was nearly as unpredicable as Asprilla)
F. P. Kitson (never really got a chance to start)

Oh and F. Julio Geordio
(from Harry Enfield wink )
Was Shaka Hislop's real name just "Neil"?
What was the most attacking formation Keegan used do u think?

2-3-5?
Considering that keegan pushed up Phillipe Albert and John Beresford I'd say that Darren Peacock at certain times might have been the only stay at home defender!! grin
yeah

I am trying to find a match report of Newcastle Vrs Everton in the 2000/01 season where Gazza played? Anyone know if theres one online some place? I have looked everywhere??
