I finally got a package that my sister had shipped to me months ago. Apparently they sent it back to her after 2 months - no reason given - and she just tried again by airmail and it got here in under a week. Anyway, inside it are some things my Gran had given to her to send to me before she passed away. Some of you may remember that she used to send me things like brown sauce sachets taken from her local cafe. Well, she topped that this time. She sent -
- 5 after dinner chocolates from the "Natraj Tandoori Restaurant" that she'd taken off the counter.
- 1 can of custard.
- A tub of Angel Delight - looks like about 6/7 packs emptied into a tupperware tub.
- A tea towel with an owl on it.
- Some tinsel for christmas - instead of presents we send christmas ornaments.
- A photo of me dancing round a maypole when I was 5.
- And best of all - about 20 sachets of malt vinegar from the chip shop.

I'm sorry your Gran is no longer around - I was always amused at your stories of things she said and things she sent you. She must have been quite a character. Nice that you should receive her final gift to you - and it is every bit as memorable as all the others. I bet you will savour the memory of it - if not the contents - for some time to come )
