Hi folks,

Need a bit of advice.

I am being transferred by my employer from Canada to Ghana. My wife doesn't want to come along. We have two children - a girl who is british and a son born in Canada.

My wife would like to move with the kids back home (Nottingham) while I do this posting (2 years).

Anybody got any thoughts on the type of visa I need to arrange for them to come back in country while I'm away?

Thx in advance
Mark
Is your wife Canadian?
You son will not need a visa as he will has dual citizenship.
Yes she is.

As to my son - because he was born in Canada we got him a Canadian passport so I think I need to either register him and then get his British passport or do the child visa thing and then do it when we get home.

Any thoughts?

thanks in advance
Your son doesnt need a visa if you are a Brit citizen so is he.
I think it will be your wife that will have the problem as she is Canadian and you will not be residing in the UK.
Not sure if there is a way around it. I will look around some websites and see what I can find out.
You may want to call the British Embassy nearest you and ask them.
