The flat above my falt in Shepherd's Bush is up for sale- and I've been offered it.

I'd like to buy it but the Nationwide say they won't give me the money because I don't live in the UK, Even though I paid of 70% of the money I borrowed off them five years.

Anyone been through this. I can afford this property so how do I get over this mortgage company bureacracy..
Who can I go too?
Sorry I do not have any advice on this but would just like to say that I think that is a silly policy, especially as your record with them sounds excellent.
Try speaking to Barclays Bank in the channel Islands. They have off shore banks that offer loads of services, maybe they could steer you in the right direction
